The Tyrannosaurus Rex looked very menacing, but could hardly use its short front legs, which were equipped with only two claws, as they did not even reach its mouth. Standing almost seven meters tall and almost thirteen meters long, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably not a particularly good hunter, but a scavenger that fed on what other animals left behind. It had more than fifty teeth with a length of more than 15 centimetres, which it did not use for chewing, but only for tearing, as it swallowed its food in large pieces. To improve depth perception when searching for food, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were directed forwards so that the fields of vision of both eyes overlapped.
